Tails: The Super Incognito System?

Live CD Linux Distribution is a great way to surf and use the web anonymously. Though most of the Linux Distributions allow live medium through their USB Stick, these are slower or choppier than installed versions of themselves. But, Tails is an Exceptions…

TAILS { The Amnesic Incognito Live System } is a commercially available and free installable Linux based Live Medium OS that can run on any system of x86_64 architecture. Providing anonymity is the first priority of the Linux Distribution but its just as smooth as an installed system even on low-powered OS.

It gave me a throwback of elive CD which I reviewed recently. It was as smooth as it sounds….

It aims at preserving your privacy and anonymity, and helps you to:

  • use the Internet anonymously and circumvent censorship;
    all connections to the Internet are forced to go through the Tor network;
  • leave no trace on the computer you are using unless you ask it explicitly;
  • use state-of-the-art cryptographic tools to encrypt your files, emails and instant messaging.

This Debian based Linux Distribution is available exclusively for x86_64 architecture and has GNOME as default Desktop Environment which is insanely fast and Snappy.

The Linux Distribution is ranked at 29 with 244 hits per day on Distrowatch.com ( as on July 12, 2019 )
